Day 86 – Time to chill

All these early starts have been wearing me out; I’m on holiday for goodness sake. So, with nothing planned for today, I had a long lie in.

After rolling myself out of bed I met up with Tom and we headed to the shopping centre. Not really looking for much but its a good place to escape the heat and get supplies.

Stocked up with food we grabbed a spot of lunch before hitting the pool. The sun managed to make an appearance from behind the veil of cloud its been hiding under for a while.

With time to kill we opted for one of our favourite pastimes, the cinema. This time we saw Traitor, a pretty decent flick out counter terrorism. I think we’ve seen nearly everything showing now so we might have to wait a while before seeing anything else. think I like going to the cinema because its a good way to escape for a while. After a film finishes I emerge from the darkness and wonder where I am for while.

Took an early evening meal as we’ve got another early start for diving tomorrow. Finally going to see the Great Barrier Reef.

About this blog

Welcome to the personal blog of Robert A J Ford, a professional interaction designer and developer based in the UK.

I started this blog in 2007 to record my cycle training leading up to the Etape. I've never been one for diaries but this format works well with my job and lifestyle so I expanded it to record details of other training and events.

As the blog grew it became a space where friends and family followed my activities. Their feedback has inspired me to keep writing. I hope you find something of interest and please feel free to leave comments.
