Day 82 – The name’s Ford, Robert Ford

Spent the entire morning in bed catching up on the month’s lost sleep; felt great, just like a lazy Sunday at home.

After pottering about and reading for a bit I met Tom down at the lagoon, a large man made pool the overlooks the sea. There we sat in the shallow water soaking up the sun for an hour or so before the clouds took the warmth away.

Making the most out of the cooler air I went for a run. Like Hagley park, in New Zealand, the esplanade has a couple of exercise stations so I took the opportunity to get some extra training in.

Needing to satisfy my rumbling tummy we headed to the Woolshed for an early meal. each night we  get a voucher for a free meal or can pay up to $8 extra for other items off the menu. I opted for the sea bass and it was delicious.

Heading further up town we found a large, Merry Hell, like mall that had a cinema. We’ve been chasing the bond film around the world, always moving to countries where the release date got later and later so we jumped at the chance to see it. It was good but not what I’d expected and I didn’t fell it lived up to the hype.

About this blog

Welcome to the personal blog of Robert A J Ford, a professional interaction designer and developer based in the UK.

I started this blog in 2007 to record my cycle training leading up to the Etape. I've never been one for diaries but this format works well with my job and lifestyle so I expanded it to record details of other training and events.

As the blog grew it became a space where friends and family followed my activities. Their feedback has inspired me to keep writing. I hope you find something of interest and please feel free to leave comments.
