Training Plan

Patrick, the men’s captain at Stratford, has sent through the men’s squad training plan and boy does it look like fun, not!

Really going to have to thing about how I manage rowing with training for other events. I might use the Tuesday to alternate through circuits, running and cycling but after last nights circuits I’d quite like to stick with them.

My biggest concern is still the swimming. I really need to get started on that. I’m thinking that as Friday is down as a rowing rest day I might use that to start swimming.

Looking forward to the Great South run next this month and further to the London Marathon I’m going to start more running in the next couple of weeks. After doing the Rat Race I know I can cover the distance but just not sure of pace. From past experience I know I’m going to have to kick in the Marathon training in November.

Oh the joy of winter training!

Pau to Hautacam
8,000 riders will take on the 154-kilometre stage from Pau to the summit at Hautacam, via the east side of the Col du Tourmalet.

I love this bike, some would say too much with the amount of time I spend maintaining it! But if I'm going to be going 50mph down a mountain I want to know its in good shape.
